AS OF MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2024, ALL “LACTATING” KANSAS DAIRY COWS COMING TO A KANSAS LIVESTOCK MARKET MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CERTIFICATE OF VETERINARY INSPECTION (CVI) TO BE SOLD. ALL OUT OF STATE “LACTATING” DAIRY COWS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH A CVI & A NEGATIVE HPAI (HIGHLY PATHOGENIC AVIAN INFLUENZA) TEST WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF MOVEMENT.
LACTATING DAIRY COWS THAT SHOW UP AT OUR MARKET WITHOUT A CVI, CANNOT BE UNLOADED.
THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS AT THIS TIME ON "DRY" DAIRY COWS.
